For an offline exam, pen and paper are required which has also paved the way to pollution and cutting down of a lot of trees. It also involves a lot of hassle in order to make sure everything is right. In the case of online, the pollution is also less, and it’s easier to deal with and format when compared to offline exams.

2. TIME EFFICIENT

Online exams are undoubtedly a time saver. Since most online examinations do corrections with the help of technology, teachers don’t have to spend time marking exam papers and doing other evaluations.

3. CONVENIENT TO ALL

Since most of the work is done using modern technology, examiners can set papers using question banks and compare the data with millions of web pages online. Students can get their results immediately and work on their flaws better.

DISADVANTAGES

1. TECHNOLOGY DIFFICULTIES

For people living in remote areas, it can also pose some challenges. Technology literacy is needed and can prove to be time-consuming for those who don’t know how to operate the medium. Network glitches may also pose a huge threat.

2. CANDIDATES CAN CHEAT EASILY

In an online exam, there are so many ways one can cheat without getting caught. Screens may contain information that makes it easier to copy and get the work done. However, remote proctoring is a suitable option to sustain cheating during exams.
