MBBS IN KERALA
The field of Medicine is one of the most popular
fields in India. This leading to a large population of students appearing for
its entrance exam. But only less than 50% of the appeared population can
qualify for the exam.
Every year National Testing Agency (NTA) manages a
National Eligibility CUM Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for procuring admittance in
the field of Medicine. Nearly 15 lakhs students appear for this exam every year
but many fewer students can pass. After the conclusion of the exam after some
days, results are issued. Depending on the overall score of the country a
cut-off is published. Students who secured more than the cut-off are listed as
qualified to take admittance to medical schools. As per the scores, a merit
list is issued, and depending on this list students have earmarked seats as per
their grades.
In Kerala, the authority that is responsible for
conducting the admission process is the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations
(CEE). There is a total of 30 medical colleges in Kerala. All the processes
from accepting application forms to allocating seats to qualified students are
conducted by CEE in Kerala.
