Work 8 hours a day and you’ll ace any job, interview, task or work

Every job, interview, task requires a certain level of efficiency to be able to complete the given task in the given task. As the saying goes, It’s better to work smart than work hard. Certainly, hard work is important but the key to success lies in a person’s efficiency to do it. 

No matter which job interview or resume you have, the basic point of evaluation is ultimately a person’s efficiency in his work. First, they’ll look for your marks. A 97% is straight up selected but so is a candidate with 80% marks and a zonal or state level medal of any sort of sports or any extra curricular activity. Similarly, a candidate with 60% will also make the cut until he /she has a national level certificate of any sports or extra curricular. Basically, they just don’t want a couch potato. What ultimately matters is their efficiency as a human to complete any task whatsoever on time. This is their way of evaluating a candidate on the basis of efficiency, whether they’ll be able to work rigorously for 8 hours continuously or not.

In the workplace, productivity, innovation and efficiency are always key—we all want to build a better mouse trap (and do it before anyone else!). Constantly check in with yourself to assess if what you are doing is productive. To be clear, productivity levels can always be improved. While multitasking is the holy grail of many an office culture, some psychologists advocate that attempting to manage several tasks at once may decrease performance levels. Don’t sweat it if your style is focusing on one task at a time. Find your unique grove and work it.
