Everyone in their lifetime have numerous moments of highs and lows but we ned to learn the fact that it’s not your lows that define you but how you embrace it, learn from it and stand up tall and firm on your ground to try again, this time with much more strength and determination. Some people give up after trying one or two times, this is where they go wrong. In order to succeed we need to remember that perseverance is the key, this is what separates the crowd from the 1% of the successful lot.
This doesn’t mean you have to work continuously the whole time, staying on the grind is necessary but so are distractions for the healthy functioning of our brains. Listen to music, read a book, go for a walk, exercise the list is endless; do whatever suits you to reenergise your body and mind. When activity is habitualized it takes much less workload — mental, physical and spiritual — to perform it. Don't forget to reward yourself when you achieve something with your hard work no matter how big or small. Surround yourself with company that motivates you and roots for your success, being in a toxic company can lessen your own determination and you resort to doing things in order to please them because of peer-pressure and this moves you further away from your goal in the process.
Secondly, you simply need habits to keep yourself motivated. Many successful people cultivate habits which keep them on course and shows them True North of their lives. How many people do you know who undertook a bold endeavour and gave up after a while? How many of them felt good about themselves after such experience? How many beat themselves as a worthless piece of... ehem, you probably know the rest of that sentence. You probably used it on a few occasions or thousand occasions.
When you hope for a big change in your life, go out of your comfort zone. When everybody around are saying you are crazy and you fail, the disappointment is crushing. These are the times when you'll have to motivate yourself; when nobody else is clapping for ypur achievements learn to clap for your own damn self since you'll be your constant company throughout your journey while others come and go. Develop it from your core. Base it on your values. Build habits to cultivate it. Believe in yourself that you can do it and half of your work is already done.
