UUCMS 2022- The Universities of Karnataka has been warned
C N Aswath Narayan, the education minister of Karnataka, has alerted that registrars would be replaced and removed from their duties if universities of the states fail to execute the unified university and college management system (UUCMS), a single login terminal for managing the procedure of admission in degree colleges.
Narayan, after consulting with the vice-chancellors, said that each and every university of the state should put forward a detailed report on registrars who have unable to execute the UUCMS. Moreover, the degree colleges from rural areas have complained about the technical pitfalls that is disturbing the portal of UUCMS and hampering the procedure of admission.
In addition, the authorities of many colleges have protested against the ‘complex’ portal of UUCMS. This has caused declination in number of admissions. A few colleges has abdicated from the UUCMS and are holding to the offline procedure of admission.
The minister has announced that systematic video conferences were being carried out with the degree colleges by the department of higher education to convey the glitches.
The education minister, Narayan, ordered the colleges to put details of admission that are new on the official websites of their colleges by the end of the month of August. Moreover, he has raised affection on the delay in the assessment of semester exam papers in few universities. He said that the procedure should be concluded in the month of August.
