The Road Less Travelled

By Amandeep  Bhupal

Just completed your XII Board exams and looking for the perfect career advice? Or are you a mid-college student, not willing to continue the path on which you’re already treading on?
Then this is the perfect article for you. READ ON!!

·       HAVE THE COURAGE TO WALK ON THE PATH LESS TRODDEN ON:
Being pressured by parents/elders and teachers to pursue Engineering if you’re a Science student, or Medical if you’re a Biology student? Are you a great artist, or singer, or dancer, or painter, but don’t have the courage to pursue it as career since you’re too afraid of the risk of failing? Are you also being told by your elders that these are just hobbies and can’t be taken up as career choices?
THAT’S NOT THE TRUTH!!
Do you know that there are higher chances of success in unconventional career choices, that too, if that is your passion? Just believe in what you love and keep persevering. It will take time, but you will achieve success in what you are passionate in.
Take this advice from coming from someone who was in your shoes once, but didn’t have the courage to take up something that she was passionate about as her career choice.
“Follow your passion, persevere and success will definitely follow!”

Here are some unconventional career paths which have great future ahead:
·        Graphic Designing
·        Content Writing
·        Interior/Jewelry Designing
·        Modeling/Acting
·        Dance Choreographer
·        Journalism
·        Start a YouTube channel
·        Start your own business (it could be small, but it’ll fill your heart with happiness, that‘s above all)
·        Become a freelancer
·        Music Composition
Ultimately what matters in life is whether you’re happy or not, whether your job is making you happy or not? If not, then that’s not the right job for you. Drop it, and do something you love. Work hard on your passion, persevere, and keep believing! You’ll definitely achieve success!!
