Vivekanand
Institute of Professional Studies is a private college in Pitampura, New Delhi.
The college is recognized by Bar Council of India and was established in the
year 2000. It is in affiliation to the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University approved by AICTE and Accredited Grade ‘A’ by NAAC. This institute
offers undergraduate and postgraduate education in the field of Law, Business,
Media and Information Technology in 7 and 2 courses respectively.

Vivekanand
School of Business Studies (VSBS) offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce. VSBS

skills among the young management graduates in ever evolving technology.
ABOUT THE COURSE
The
Bachelor’s in Commerce (BCom. (H)) is 3 years (6 semesters) undergraduate honours
programme. In this programme students are provided with in-depth knowledge and
taught extensively along with a specialisation in a particular subject which
makes it different from BCom.
During
the course students cover various subjects in the fields of accounting and
commerce, banking, taxation, finance and insurance. BCom (H) is the best course
for students pursuing CA and CFA.
VISION
The
vision of this course is to cater to the needs of commerce aspirants and to
equip the students with knowledge to pursue professional studies by developing
holistic and value-based approach among the students in the field of commerce.
OBJECTIVE
The
objective of this course is to instil knowledge in the students and capability
of understanding the business world and its complexities. It aims to develop
the ability and competence towards problem solving approach and the issues
attached to the business world.
The
BCom. (H) graduates has a lot of employment opportunities as a
Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Financial Analyst
(CFA), Business Accounting and Taxation (BAT), Certified Management Accountant
(CMA), Actuarial Sciences etc.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A candidate eligible for admission to
the 3-year BCom. (H) undergraduate degree course must have passed the
Intermediate Examination (10+2) of CBSE in five subjects (one language and four
elective subjects) or any other equivalent examination.
ADMISSION PROCESS
·
The candidates must apply through GGSIPU CET for the
admission to any of the courses offered by VIPS.
·
The candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria is
then required to attend the counselling session for further screening process.
·
The candidates who qualify IPU CET are only eligible for the
admission in the college.
VIPS RESERVATION
VIPS
provides reservation to all eligible candidates based on the merit secured in
IPU CET. Seats are reserved as per the norms set by the Government of India and
are as follows:
·
Among the total number of seats, the 85% seats are reserved
for the Delhi Region Candidates i.e., those who have passed their qualifying
examination from any school/institute in Delhi NCR.
·
Other 15% seats are reserved for the Outside Delhi Region
students i.e., those who have passed their qualifying examination from any
school/institute outside Delhi.

The department of BCom. (H) allows
students to get a proper exposure to the latest developments in the corporate
world by giving them proper training and skill enhancement course which imparts
them practical knowledge in the field of commerce.
