Many of the perpetrators of violent hate crimes are students: roughly one in five were still under the age of 18. Educators may help battle these alarming figures and contribute towards a more peaceful society by educating pupils to respect and appreciate people of diverse religious beliefs.

• Religious literacy is essential for a very well education.
