Mandatory skills for the 21st century
The Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina has pledged to make the country a productive one, keeping in mind the results of the HSC exam. She compelled the youth of Bangladesh to acquire appropriate and relevant skills for the 21st century.
The HSC results saw 95 per cent of the student population, passing with flying colors. This gave the PM a moment to urge the youth that only hard work and determination will help Bangladeshis to create the future it wishes to.
Despite the massive pass-rates, there is still a gap between jobs and number of graduates. This a gap which is not yet bridged, due to large unemployment. Research proves that the first thing people do when they get to university, is work for the various kinds of government jobs and study to achieve the same.
Bangladesh has faced the problem for not having enough jobs to provide to the society. Owing to the expansion of industries and areas of interest, the country is aiming to bring a change in terms of industrial revolution. The people of the country must make proper use of these opportunities and build a skilled workforce. Both traditional and technological skills are important to make a revolution.
To initiate the same, schools in Bangladesh have to set up relevant courses to adapt to the changing times.
